Maren Hallberg (1975) grew up in Copenhagen with a swedish mother and a danish father in a home with plenty of folkmusic from all over the world. Her passion for music and dance is the basis of her musical activities and she is a musician with deep empathy and depth. She is a master when it comes to expressive phrasing and the bellow on her accordion delivers a strong and rhythmical ground.

She has studied at the Folk department at Carl Nielsen’s music academy in Odense. ” Through folk music I have met a lot of different people and common for their folk music is that it has this soulful powerfulness. It has given me fantastic experiences. ” She is an active an versatile musician, who knows how to create an exciting and dynamic universe as she plays.
